Perhaps you have a series of specific details on your wishlist-- certain woods, carving techniques, or design styles. Or perhaps you have just a vague notion and are looking for suggestions. Whatever your particulars, we have the artisans who can render your vision into a reality... By going through Vermont Woods Studios, you eliminate the complicated and expensive process of locating the appropriate artisan for your project. Our expert and knowledgeable staff members are fully acquainted with every step of our process. They know our artisans-- and they will get to know you. As we build your heirloom, we also build a relationship with you and your family to better shape your dream into a reality. A Personal Approach It works like this. and explain your needs, dreams and budget. We'll take a look at any photos, sketches or renderings that you may already have. We want to have the best possible grasp on your particulars so we can then tackle our favorite part: the details. Our Customer Service professional will then guide you through your many options: choices of wood, style, design concept, personalization, construction concerns and anything else. We will share photos of past projects with you to give you new ideas and to sort through what you like and what you don't like. We provide up to two hours of this consultation service (via email, phone or in person) at no charge. As soon as we feel we have a good grasp on who you are and what you want, we will process a non-refundable $500 deposit and match you up with the perfect artisan for your project, keeping in mind their specialties, their mediums and their capabilities. We will help you select an artisan who can not only render your vision into a tangible reality, but one who can do that in your timeframe and on your budget. Visit Us First If desired, we can arrange for you to visit some of the artisans in our network before you make your decision. You will have the chance to meet with our artisans one on one in their studios and view their work. If you choose this option,we will provide you with free lodging here in the exquisite and peaceful Green Mountains while you make your choice. In these cases, we ask for a $10,000 non refundable deposit or gift certificate at the time of booking. As soon as you find the right artisan, he or she can get started immediately, since the paperwork is already in effect. Our Work Here Is Done Once you select an artisan, you work directly with him or her. We are always available upon request, but we find that the customer is usually off and running and prefers to work one on one with their artisan. Within seven days of your referral, however a fifty percent non-refundable deposit must be processed in order to ensure your project is worked into the artisan's schedule. If you find that you require more time or feel that you would like to work with a different artisan, please do contact us and we will find a solution that meets your needs. The Virtual Studio While your custom furniture is being made we can, upon request, provide you with a virtual tour of the studio itself, so you can see your heirloom take shape, board by carefully selected board, as it is lovingly crafted. This allows you to monitor the work in progress and keep an open channel of communication with your artisan. You are always a part of how your chosen wood evolves from mere boards into your new family treasure. We also encourage our customers to come to Vermont to see, feel and touch our work in progress. We provide a complimentary stay of one or two nights at the Stratton Mountain Resort Long Trail Condominium with your furniture order of $10,000 or more. Final Payment and Follow Up When your project is complete, you will be billed for the balance of your account, plus shipping. We will also give you a gift to express our thanks and a certificate of authenticity to attach discreetly to your furniture. These tags will be important to document the origin and value of your furniture should you ever decide to sell it in the future. At this time, we will also contact you to get your feedback. We want to make sure you found our process and your heirloom completely satisfactory. You won't be forgotten as soon as your piece has been shipped to you.
